It’s time I started my own side-project and 2009 seems like the hip kinda year to do it.

I’ve always stayed very heavily on the client-side end (wrangling mark-up, CSS, JS and many accessibility concerns) and I’ve wanted to get a fuller experience of working on a whole project, both for interest and to improve my skill-set.

So, I’ve got a little idea.  It’s quite simple, really, but it covers a whole set of issues and problems. Most importantly, it will revolve around a subject that I really enjoy and don’t currently have a good internet outlet for: books!  I know.  There are other book sites out there - but none do what I’m interested in.  I’ll explain more another day.

For now, I’m using this blog to track my progress, keep myself encouraged and maybe in the long run it’ll be an interesting little bit of history on how I made my web app.
